God's Story

God’s story starts in the very beginning on the day of creation, God took seven days to create the world with the seventh day being his sabbath (Day of rest). He created the heavens and the earth, light and darkness, land and sea, the stars, every creature, and lastly mankind in his image. He created human beings as his sons and daughters to reign over the earth and to be fruitful and multiply.

This was the plan until Adam and Eve were soon deceived by the serpent where they started the generational curse (which we call sin) that fills the world. After this earth-shattering consequence, the world soon was filled with murderous, adulterous people who idolize everything but God. Although this fall from the very beginning God promised a savior to the world that would “Crush the serpent's head” healing generations to come from this brokenness of sin. So for centuries, God’s people waited for this savior to come.

Until one night Baby Jesus was conceived by a virgin woman named Mary. He came into this world 100% pure, 100% human, experiencing the pain of this broken world. Jesus in the form of a human grew up similarly to us still staying 100% pure from sin, He started teaching around the age of thirty when the gospels were starting to be recorded. During this time Jesus taught 12 men he called his disciples and shared with the people the gift of everlasting life and the new life in being called sons of God.

A few years later Jesus obeying the will of his father, sacrificed his life on the middle cross, giving his life to save his people and generations to come from the consequences of their sin if they accepted a personal relationship with him. His blood sacrifice was a symbol of him washing us clean, purifying us from our destructive sins, and creating us new in Christ. 3 days later his body rose from the grave up into the heavens and the gift of the holy spirit was given to his sons and daughters that followed him, so now we can experience Jesus' spirit living inside of us.

The trinity of God the Father, his Son, and the Holy Spirit was taught to man throughout the rest of the bible and is taught to many today as it is a reflection of the unity and power of God our Savior.

Through this amazing testament of God’s story, we learn three things, one is that we have a sonship with Christ, He calls us his, as he adopts us into his kingdom for an eternity in heaven. Two, since we are adopted as his sons and daughters we get to joyfully worship him and only him through serving his kingdom. We find unity with him when we serve his kingdom as it almost reflects his act of service on the cross for us, in doing this we humbly submit ourselves to him. And thirdly we are saints designed by his purpose for our lives. We are called saints and given the opportunity to reign with him here on earth and for eternity in heaven. Through these three things, we realize our true identity found in God’s perfect plan from the very beginning. We are called his sons and daughters here to serve with him and then reign with him forever in heaven. What an amazing loving father we have that cares so much for us to give us a fulfilling purpose that leads to everlasting life with him.
